From a young age, I loved anything textile related and spent hours dreaming up imaginary interiors. I began sewing on my mum’s old sewing machine at just 11 years old, and many happy hours were spent leafing through the Laura Ashley Home Catalogue, planning my perfect bedroom.

Although I initially started my career in childcare, I eventually followed my true passion and graduated from Derby University in 2000 with a degree in textile design. I then spent 20 years as part of the design team at Trimmings by Design Ltd., working with high-end interior designers and fabric companies—an experience that gave me a deep understanding of the industry.

In 2020, I joined my brother Peter in his furniture and interiors shop, where I continued to refine my interior design skills and completed a diploma in interior design with the National Design Academy.

Two years later, I took the plunge and launched my own business. I now work from my home in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, where, along with offering a simple, straight forward interior design service, I’ve also rekindled my love of sewing, creating bespoke interior textiles—allowing me to offer beautifully coordinated accessories for any scheme.

I also collaborate with other interior designers, crafting unique soft furnishings tailored to their specifications.
